Tokens and billing

What spends tokens, what never does, top-ups that never expire, and cancelling.

What spends tokens, and what never does

  • Spends tokens: generating an output, and asking the assistant for a rewrite (rewrites are much smaller).
  • Always free: browsing, editing by hand, publishing, your public page and its readers, integrations and delivery.

A typical full release lands around 5–15K tokens. Your Dashboard translates your balance into "≈ N releases left" so you never have to think in tokens.

Monthly allowance vs. purchased tokens

Your plan includes a monthly allowance that refreshes on your billing date; unused monthly tokens don't roll over. Purchased top-ups are different: they never expire. They sit in their own pot and are only touched after the monthly allowance runs out.

Your allowance is a hard cap, so there are no surprise bills, ever. If you run dry mid-month, top up or wait for the reset.

Plans, briefly

  • Pro is one repository and everything you need to start announcing.
  • Max adds unlimited repositories, auto-send automations and digests, a bigger allowance, and a customisable footer.
  • Studio runs several workspaces (brands) from one login with a shared token pool, and the Usage page shows the owner exactly which workspace and which member is spending what.

Cancelling, upgrading, leaving

Everything is self-serve on the Billing page. Upgrades apply immediately. Cancelling stops the renewal: you keep full access until the end of the period you've paid for, and you can reactivate any time before it lapses.

Deleting your account requires cancelling first, so there is no way to end up billed for something you can't use.
